this paper outlines several steps that help maximize financial returns in the textile industry. these steps include integrating an action plan across such activities as costs, production, sales and finance; defining the trends in the target market segments; introducing a right-first-time production philosophy; conducting a detailed audit of existing procedures and replacing them with more productive ones; introducing flexible and simple control procedures; and defining the financial payback for doing it. following these guidelines and with extensive use of computer simulation, it is possible to develop scenarios for a typical exhaust dyehouse dyeing cotton and polyester/cotton blends which predict a profit double to that obtained from traditional working.
