Use of Proliposomes as an Auxiliary Product in Dyeing Processes for Wool and Polyester Fabrics.

The use of proliposomes as dyeing assistants for wool and polyester fabrics and their blends permits temperatures of 15 degrees centigrade lower than those required in conventional processes, the elimination of salt from dye baths, and a significant decrease in the quantity of contaminants in residual water. Proliposomes may be incorporated into dye or dyeing assistant formulations or used alone. Their use results in fabrics with softer hand, particularly in wool fabrics. The use of proliposomes in dyeing wool and polyester blend fabrics, however, requires further optimization
