Knitted fabrics: considerations (Italian) (Tessuti a maglia: considerazioni)

The dyeing of knitted fabrics is discussed, with particular reference to improving the prospects of the dyeing industry. Among the possible ways of doing this: a recovery of consumption; increased demand from developing countries; reducing labour costs modifying the means of transporting the dyes, the author considers the only remaining way to make improvements is to modify the dyeing container. Improvement could also be made to the loading the unloading processes. Recent innovations have been directed towards reducing costs by speeding up processes and reducing heating time etc and improving quality, but no really substantial modifications have been carried out or appear to be imminent.
