New Washing and Treatment Compartment Improves Cost-Effectiveness and Fabric Quality.

The Babcock Power Tex open width washing machine improves fastness results during the washing of dyed and printed fabrics at production speeds of over 100 meters per minute. Its intensive washing and treatment compartment accommodates desizing of water soluble synthetic sizes and native and mixed sizes for oxidative/enzymatic degradation, demineralization with the addition of acid donors in the entry water lock, combined demineralization and enzymatic desizing with demineralization and enzymatic degradation of native and mixed sizes, washing out processes with the aid of detergents and dispersion agents, and washing out after cold pad-batch bleaching. Performance is optimal when washing occurs at boiling in the first compartment of the washing zone. The Power-Tex's method of spraying liquor through flat jet nozzles with alternating hydrodynamic nip angle pressures is best for reduced temperature washing of printed fabrics.
