Recent trends in textile machinery include reduction of water and chemical use on continuous rope and open -width machines for pretreatments, rapid heating and cooling on batch dyeing machines, a 36-color screen printer, new laminating/coating machines, and laboratory-scale HT/HP and jet dyeing machines. New machinery for pretreatment, dyeing, continuous fabric dyeing, printing, and finishing as well as testing and laboratory equipment are described.
