Color Service has developed an extremely flexible automatic dye weighing and dissolving system. The system consists of an automatic weighing station, a dye dissolving unit, and a distributor system. A traversing mechanism carrying two balances runs in front of dye storage tanks. A PC-controlled worm conveyor transfers the dye to the balance. A robot loads and unloads containers. A suction/extraction system is capable of loading the tanks with powdered, granulated, or micropearl type dyes. The software not only controls and monitors the sequence, but also computes dye consumption and performs inventory.
