Stork's STK 2010 laser engraver is capable of storing designs digitally and transferring these designs to the screen in one operation. The production of films is more efficient and, in some cases, can be eliminated. The screen can be used immediately because developing and polymerizing after engraving are not required. The laser with a focus setting of 50 micrometers significantly extends the limit of the fineness of the designs. All conventional engraving methods can be performed, either with or without a tension roller. The MCD system provides extensive computer-aided design capability. Peripheral equipment includes a black and white or a color scanner and a film plotter.
