The sorption of nonabsorbent textile materials can be increased by the inclusion of small amounts of high molecular weight polyacrylamide in chemical wet processing baths. Applications of polyacrylamide and a mechanism for observing its effects on nonabsorbent materials are discussed. Abstract.
