Dyehouses can achieve acceptable production while taking the steps necessary to protect the environment. In the laboratory, colormetrics and high-performance computer equipment can be used to optimize color reproduction and achieve a high degree of accuracy. Equipment such as the DS-3 dispensing system are computer controlled and much more efficient than manual dye recipe preparation. In the production sequence, Total Color Management during the formulation of dyeing recipes, the dispensing of liquid dyesutff, and the dispensing of chemicals, will increase productivity while reducing materials consumption and environmental impacts.
