Scholl's Colorstar short liquor ratio piece dyeing unit is based on the design of an earlier model, the Subtilo. Colorstar has increased storage capacity, very low liquor ratio, optimal price/capacity ratio, and minimum space requirement. Capacity per storage chamber is 180 to 200 kilograms depending on fabric type. The largest unit has 12 storage chambers. Liquor ratio varies from 1:3 to 1:5 depending on fabric type. Unlike similar units, the Colorstar can dye with longer liquor ratios. Due to the very short liquor ratio, significantly less water, dyes, and chemicals are required.
