Innovations in pretreatment equipment at ITMA 1991 include Osthoff's Seng-matic gas singeing machine, which achieves maximum reproducibility and error minimization via control of the singeing position, flame intensity, fabric speed, and burner. Bruekner's Delphin rope washing machine funs fabric through a meander configuration and has individual drives for all squeeze rollers. Albrecht's LCL Continuous Washing Range stands higher than the Brueckner tubolavar and allows for a longer dwell than the Jawetex, depending on the washing station. Benninger modified its Extracta open width washing machine, which no longer presses the hydroextraction rollers. TVE Textile Vacuum Extractor's washing machines for woven fabrics use either spray-suction or dip suction devices. Impregnators from Calator, Jawetex, and Brueckner are discussed. C. Itoh's high-temperature Space Reactor steamer is suitable for dyeing, bleaching, kiering, desizing, curing, and special finishes.
