Highlights of continuous dyeing machinery, specifically with regard to the dyeing of cotton, viscose, and polyester fabrics, are presented. Benniger, under the name of Injecta, presented a vertically constructed washing unit with a vertical tunnel. Water, steam or air can be injected into the tunnel, against both sides of the fabric, and in any combination. Regula's HFM 400 high moisture metering unit calculates values independent of fabric speed. It is adjustable to all widths. Monforts and Triatex exhibited online liquor pick-up metering systems. The Optivac High-tech System has an increased pump capacity of about 25 percent. Farmer Norton's VAS 200 permits the control of liquid absorption of between 35 and 200 percent, which is important for pile fabrics and terry cloths. Menzel's Optimax Universal Applicator works vertically and consists of a heavy squeezing unit with Rowatex Rollers and a level controlled liquor feed.
