Then GmbH's Airflow AFS 225 dyeing machine piece dyes fabric in rope form. The AFS 225 features a self adjusting AMC-E controller wired to the TDS supervisor system. The TDS system sets up programs, displays all data, and measures values. The Airflow dyeing machine consists of a processing vessel with store room; gas circulation system with filter, pump, heat exchanger, and nozzles. Tests revealed the suitability of the aerodynamic Airflow dyeing machine for vat dyeing cotton knit and woven fabrics. Maintenance of the saturated gas mixture between the air and water vapor led to optimal conditions for vat dyeing. The vat dyed fabrics possessed good fastness properties. 4 refs.
