Kuster's Memotex machine orients yarns in cotton and cotton blended fabrics by stretching the material in the lengthwise and widthwise directions. The Memotex machine can be used before or after such finishing processes as pretreatments, pretreatments with bleaching, and mercerization. The fabric is stretched by the counteraction of two combing rollers while the fabric is being held on the roller surface. 7 refs.
