Researchers investigated whether how-to manuals adequately warned amateur dyers of the potential risk of contact with chemicals commonly used in natural dyeing. In a survey of more than 350 books and articles available through the local public library, only two issued any warning to pregnant women or women of child bearing age. Abstract.
