At ITMA 1999, Thies displayed its Eco-Soft Plus dyeing system with rapid fill/drain, 100 percent add tank, rapid unloading, variable parameters for batch optimization, vario nozzle, automatic self cleaning filter, and the CCR Superwash rinsing process. The unit reduces processing times by up to 50 percent. Thies's air stream dyeing machine process features ballooning of the fabric and controlled collapsing of the balloon after the jet for optimal processing of Tencel knit fabrics. Then's AirFlow AFT dyeing machine features a larger diameter vessel and a nozzle inside the dryer to reduce the lift height and fabric tension. Scholl's RapidStar machine features the Trio-Flex option to optimize chamber volume for each fabric load.
