Dyeing equipment displayed at ITMA 1991 offered less innovative technology than was offered by the other categories of machinery. North West Textile Research presented a cost-effective method for dyeing polyester by using liquid carbon dioxide. Jasper offered a new chemical process by which a filter material, which can be regenerated by oxidation, removes large dyestuff molecules from effluent. Other displays included Scholl's automated handling system for package transportation, Bellini's water-saving RBNV package dyer, and OBEM's tube package dyer. Fong and Obermaier displayed rope dyers. Hisaka exhibited jet machines.
