The Porous Coat System from Nordson offers and alternative coating technology to powder coating, paste dot printing, gravure-wheel coating, flame bonding, and web or film bonding. The Porous Coat System uses an innovative extrusion coating head design to apply 100 percent solid thermoplastic resins. The systems, which applies discontinuous coatings, reduces resin usage by 30 percent and increases softness of hand. The Porous Coat System has been used for nonskid coatings, headliners, face fabrics, and foam substrates. The unique design of the system's die coating head enables greater manufacturing flexibility and productivity. The systems is compatible with a wide range of high-performance, 100 percent thermoplastic resins.
