Plants are operating in Italy and Spain using bioflotation tecnology to treat effluents from the dyeing and finishing process. The system produces an 'activated foam' which acts as a supporting structure with a high surface area for bacterial activity. The process gives a high level of performance and can be used either as a pre-treatment, to be installed to existing homogenising tanks, or as a complete system.
