Datacolor International's Ahiba Nuance high speed laboratory dyeing machine features combination cleaning and infrared heating to reduce exposure to chemicals and provide a high level of safety in the laboratory. Specifically designed black glasses hold the fabrics and the dye solution at 5 degrees per minute. Fans can cool the fabrics at 6 degrees per minute. This design allows high speed replication of production line conditions. The temperature range of 20-140 degrees centigrade is controllable in increments of 0.8 degree. Maximum temperature difference from one fabric sample to another is 0.5 degree. A special shield inside the top of each glass facilitates uniform dosing over the entire swatch.
