Achieving reproducible dyeing results is a difficult job. For suppliers of dyed synthetics to the fashion industry, where custom dyeing is market driven, achieving accurate first time results is especially important. In order for a laboratory to achieve bulk reproducibility, it must first achieve laboratory reproducibility. Laboratory practices essential to bulk reproducibility include monitoring of fabric preparation; accurate recipe prediction; automatic fabric weighing and calculation; dyestuff dilution; recipe dispensing; controlled dyeing methods; and colormetrically analyzed washing.
