A number of operating conditions are required before recycling residual dyes and chemicals becomes a cost effective process. For example, recycling is often performed on highly concentrated dyes and chemicals. Optimally, residual dyes must be divided into three mixed color ranges(red, yellow, and blue) and stored in separate recycling tanks to maintain purity. Specifications for dye thanks and vessels, valves and pipe systems, and operations of the recycling plant are detailed.
