Uniform dyeing of textiles is achieved with batch dyeing by liquor circulation and fabric movement. Hank and package dyeing, jig and Japanese soft-flow machines introduced in the 1970's are described. Dyeing knit garments and hosiery and problems associated with textured polyester yarns are addressed as well as the principles of continuous dyeing.
