Pegg-Whiteley's new Pegflow atmospheric fabric dyeing machine was developed for dye ratios from 1;5 to 1:5. The design eliminates such problems as trapping, crushing, or napping the fabric which occur with conventional machines. Overloading or uneven loading is also prevented. The dye troughs are tilted to provide correct fabric displacement and maintain tensionless circulation. Rectilinear flow tubes progressively widen to enable fabrics to open during transfer to the troughs.
