In response to the need for a color selection, matching, and control system, Pantone has developed a standardized palette of 1225 colors specifically designed for reproduction with opaque colorants. This Professional Coloring System, based on regulated, quality-controlled colors, is contained in two comprehensive reference manuals. One identifies 1225 color swatches (100% cotton percale is used) ; the other is used as a selection guide with removable color chips. A computerized Telematching System from Hoechst Celanese provides Quick Response, and on-line information to support the system.
