Woodlawn Mills has recently opened a 70,000-square foot facility for commission dyeing and tubular knit finishing. Woodlawn Mills will specialize in European-style processes in which fabrics are produced in a resin-free state with low shrinkage. European-style finishing produces a relaxed fabric with no formaldehyde, surface distortion, or color changes. Fabrics being processed include jersey, rib, mesh, and interlock structures primarily of cotton or cotton/polyester blends. Computer systems for color matching and the control of dyeing finishing machines are an integral part of the operations.
