The Datacolor integrated color network is comprised of a central database and individual workstations that can communicate dye recipes to laboratory or production weighing and dyeing machine controllers. The laboratory can match a given color by recipe calculation, or it can use production recipes stored in an archival database. After a color recipe has been determined, the dyestuff solutions are prepared and dispensed automatically by laboratory equipment. If satisfactory laboratory results are achieved, the dyeing recipe can be used to control bulk bath preparation.
