Seminar on environmental issues: Technology options for textile industry

This seminar, organized by the Department of Textile Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, was held in Delhi on 6th and 7th November, 1998. The seminar was split into various sessions, all concerned with environmental issues in the following areas: Natural dyes and naturally coloured cottons; size reclamation; development of synthetic thickeners and auxiliary products for environmentally friendly pigment printing; and eco-friendly finishing for textiles. The seminar was attended by zoo delegates from both industry and academia.
