Ultrasound technology has been researched and used for a variety of applications in liquids, disperse dyes and polymers. This article discusses the application of ultrasound technology in the wet processing of textiles; preparation of sizes; emulsions; dye dispersions; and thickeners for print paste. High energy ultrasonic waves accelerate the rates of textile wet processes, yet each process requires more research in terms of energy saving and reduction in chemicals' consumption.
