The main concerns for dyehouse management today are cost reduction, improved quality, reduced cycle times, perfect repeatability, reliable results and maximum machine flexibility. This article discusses developments in these areas, in relation to today's new fibers and fiber types, such as lyocell and microfibers, as well as in relation to environmental and health and safety issues, and attempts to predict the future for dyehouse management.
