According to Sclavos, the AquaChron process improves the rinsing performance through a combination of precise process control (heating/cooling time, fabric and water management) and the patented, double-nozzle 'win Soft Flow' system which uses two nozzles per chamber to create an extended 'intensive zone' for bleaching, dyeing and rinsing. A production trial to determine if successful bleaching and dyeing in a navy shade could be accomplished on a 100% single jersey cotton fabric was carried out, and the fastness properties were evaluated in order to investigate the claimed performance of the Sclavos Venus dyeing machine using the AquaChron rinsing technique. Details are given of the test procedures and the results obtained are evaluated.
