Exhaust dyeable polypropylene fibres

In this contribution the influence of polypropylene (PP) fiber modification by modified polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and other additives on dyeing and colouristic properties of blend fibres were investigated. The paper describes the dyeing characteristics of modified PP fibres using the disperse dyes. Modified fibres were prepared from polypropylene terephthalate blend by melt blending before spinning. Reactive and non reactive additives were applied in blending process for improving of technological compatibility of polymer components.
