Ciba Specialty Chemicals launched its e-commerce service in 1999, offering customers the option of ordering textile dyes and pigments via the internet. Specially-developed software links the internet interface with the internal Ciba ordering systems. Customers will also be able to obtain product safety data and certificates of analysis on individual product batches via the internet.
