Due to increasing dyeing and finishing requests for workwear fabrics, factories in this industry have improved their operation rates. Some factories are reporting increases of up to 20% from the previous year's figures, and many are carrying out full-scale operations until the end of March 2000 in order to meet this demand. The substantial growth in demand has broken a prior standstill in the market for workwear, and has stemmed from a recent upturn in industrial activity.
