The efficiences of advanced oxidation processes for three different types of textile wasterwater taken from textile plants in Lodz were compared on the basis of the results obtained. The wastewater had different compositions and concentrations of polluatants. The wastewater prior to and after the treatment was analyzed according to Polish Standards. The reaction pH, specific colour, colour threshold, chemical and biological oxygen demands, anionic detergents and soluble substances, suspensions, and dry residue were analyzed. Taking into account both the experimental results and technological problems, it can be presumed that advanced oxidation with a simultaneous application of ozone and hydrogen peroxide is very promising for industrial implementation. The most efficient method for degradation of polluatants present in textile wastewater is the simultaneous application of three components: ozone, hydrogen peroxide, and UV radiation.
