Automation in laboratory work is becoming just as important as automation in production. In dispensing Datacolor's Autolab range allows simultaneous dispensing and Sclavos, a Greek company, has developed robotised laboratory dispensing which can produce dye recipes and stock solutions automatically. In dyeing equipment Roaches Supervisory Data-logging System allows machine-to-machine recipe transfer and machine status review. Swiss company Werner Mathis provides equipment with data outputs for process and quality control. Datacolor's Spectradye Plus machine performs automated dosing of auxiliaries. Ciba Colors global technical centre at Basle, Switzerland has ALADYS, a fully automated dye preparation, dyeing, drying and shade measurement system. Israeli company Elbit Vision Systems produces automatic inspection systems and Barco and German company Mahlo provide online colour inspection systems.
