Fleissner: AquaTex fabric pretreatment

The AquaTex system is a result of a cooperation agreement between BBA Inc, USA and Fleissner GmbH and is a development of the InterSpun process for treating textile-structure surfaces with water jets to improve the structure and properties of woven fabrics. The InterSpun process uses micro water jets of 0.-0.15mm impinging from perforated nozzle strips with 60 jets/in in form of a curtain onto the cloth with a pressure of 150-250 bar and speeds of up to 300m/sec, with a slot underneath the injector sucking off the water and recycling back to the jets through an efficient filtration system. The Fleissner-AquaTex system is suitable for all kinds of fabrics produced of staple or filament fibres, applications include: air bag fabric; lower weight denim; and softer flame retardant polyester fabrics.
