Fleissner GmbH & Company's HT SteamSet hot air heat setting and relaxation system for tubular knit fabrics allows the fabric to shrink in a steaming and relaxing zone before using a special spreading device to feed it to the perforated drum. Feeding the fabric nto the system in a plaited form achieves the best results. The steam zone applies saturated steam to both sides of the fabric. A suction draft inside the perforated drum keeps the spread fabric on the drum and transfers it from one drum to the next in the heat setting process. The hot air heats the fabric to the specified temperature in approximately 3 seconds. Injected saturated steam prevents the elastane fibers from oxidizing and deteriorating.
