Ciba Specialty Chemicals' COLPOCA software helps dyeing and printing plants translate shades into recipes, select the correct dyes and dye combinations, and link sampling to manufacturing. Regardless of fiber mixture or color, COLPOCA supplies one recipe of up to three components. The recipe is based on shade and selection criteria, including choice of dye, compatibility, fastness properties, environmental considerations, availability, and cost. COLPOCA runs on the Microsoft Windows platform. This new version, designed for pad and exhaust dyeing, allows for additions or exchanges of dyes, allows for differences in substrates, and indicates the required amounts of dyeing assistants and chemicals.
