The effect of slight variations in moisture content can be detrimental to some fibers, yarns, and fabrics. In processes in which the moisture content of a textile as it exits the dryer is critical, a tendency to overdry exists, which wastes energy and limits productivity. An online moisture control system enables the processor to increase the average moisture content of the textile, monitor moisture throughout the manufacturing process, increase productivity, and improve product quality.
