The April 2001 ATME-I exhibition attracted 5,000 visitors, approximately 7,000 fewer than the 1996 ATME-I exhibition. An overview of the exibition focuese on dyeing machinery, United States based dyeing and finishing machinery manufacturers, printing machines, and ancillary systems. Scholl's Rapidstar Century fabric dyeing machine featured a patented Rapidflex option that handled variable load sizes, fabric weights, and chamber volumes. Pozzi's Dyetex recoursive dye dissolving unit reduced the amount of wash water. Thies' Luft-roto Plus dyeing machine used less water, chemicals, and energy. Montforts' Twin Air Plus tentering machine improved air volume control. Stork's Pegasus nonstop rotary printing machine featured simultaneous printing and cleaning. Datacolor's Mercury portable color measurement system used proprietary sensor technology to achieve laboratory grade performance.
