BASF's textile chemicals business, now separated from textile dyes, is concentrating on becoming even more specialist in its remaining chosen fields. These are sizes, pretreatment products, flourescent brightness, dyeing auxiliaries, textile printing and finishing and ink-jet inks. For the first time, sales in Asia in 2001 are expected to outstrip those in Europe.
