ATIRA's microprocessor based control and monitoring system for jigger dyeing machines features a dedicated process control programmer; personal computer based data acquisition system; and software modules that operate in a transparent, multitasking environment. Systems designed for manual jig dyeing machines include temperature control, timed dosing of chemicals and dyeing assistants, turn settings, automatic reversal after turn completion, and audio and visual display indicators for chemical addition. A system for semiautomatic jig dyeing machines provides automatic water inlet, time/temperature profiles, automatic dosing, pH measurement, and automatic water draining. A system for fully automatic jig dyeing machines maintains constant fabric speed and tension and features temperature sensing in the trough; temperature control via direct and indirect steam heating; monitoring of dye pH, conductivity, and oxidation reduction potential; and automatic dosing.
