Lindauer Dornier GmbH's EcoFix heat setting machine features an adjustable circular expander that confers such elastomeric properties as shrinkage behavior, stretchability, recovery capacity, and residual elasticity during processing. Hot air setting in circular form reduces the selvage marks left by the knitting machine. Tubular fabrics enter the preheating chamber via a turntable. Steam chambers on both sides of the fabric passage relax the gray fabric. A heated guiding channel transports the fabric from the preheating chamber to the heat setting zone. A ring expander with constant spreading force guides the fabric across three traction rolls. Towers heated by gas, oil circulation, and electricity achieve a heat setting temperature of up to 230 degrees centigrade. Air jets supported by a cold air ventilator provide final cooling.
