Study of the effect of technical factors on the decolorizing of solutions of acid brown dyes by a photochemical method (Russian)

Investigations reveal that, at dye concentrations of 5-10 mg/1, 90-98% decolorizing of the effluent is achieved after 10-30 min ultraviolet treatment at a radiation of 20-30 kW and a peroxide concentration of 10-15 mg/mg dye. Effluent decolorizing by a photochemical method is possible in the case of a suspended matter concentration of 100-150 mg/1. If surfactants are present the organic matter are given a mineral treatment in parallel with the decolorizing, which increases the treatment time by 5-10%.
