Dyeing kinetics of wool fabrics pretreated with a protease

Dyeing kinetics of wool fabrics treated with different concentrations of an enzyme of the protease type are studied in this work. Dyeing isotherms with an acid and a premetalised 2:1 dyestuff were carried out and the fit of several kinetic equations to the experimental results determined. The absorption rate constants and activation energies were calculated.
