Results are given of investigations into the possibility of using treated effluent to finish cotton fabrics, to dye them, and to wash off unfixed dye. The treated effluent is used to desize and scour grey cotton, and the capillarity of the fabrics is found not be inferior to that of fabrics treated with distilled water. Similar results are obtained when this effluent is used in dyeing and washing-off cotton fabrics.
