Throughout these last years the textile industry has had to face some important problems, there are two kinds of theses problems: Those that are relative to the improvement of the quality of its own products; and those which have an effect, through the way that they are processed, on the environment. This article describes some of the ways that the dyeing industry has responded to both of these problems. Lawyer is one of the companies at the fore front of these changes. Modern technology using automatic processes has ensured that the quality of products produced are improved but at the same time safeguards the hygienic conditions of the working atmosphere to eliminate wastes and dispersions of products and colorants. These systems are described in more detail here and it is explained how they contribute consequent advantages from both the productive and the ecological point of view.
