Important parameters in dyeing polyester blend fabrics on jet dyeing machines include correct heat setting conditions, nozzle selection, fabric circulation speed, and fabric and liquor ratios. The ideal heat setting temperature is 190 degrees centigrade with a dwell time of 35-45 seconds. Heat setting textured polyester fabrics at 175 degrees centigrade and a 40 second dwell time retains the textured appearance and hand. Variable heat setting temperatures cause dye pickup variations. Steam pressure lines and water lines control a wide range of heating and cooling rates.
