Attempts to improve the stability of wool to light and gas fumes after dyeing are described. Samples of wool dyed at a liquor ratio of 1:40 are treated with light stabilizers, reducing agents and special stabilizers and their stability to natural and artificial light and to ozone and oxides of nitrogen is investigated.
